Stud & Stack is an independent publication about tool storage. It is editorial content, published in good faith, and it is not professional advice. We have not tested any product covered here, and the methodology page explains exactly what we do instead and where that method is weak.

We are not a retailer. We do not sell anything, hold stock, process payments, ship products or handle returns. Any purchase you make is between you and the retailer, under their terms.

Every specification here is cited to a manufacturer or retail source and every derived figure is computed from one. Sources change: a manufacturer revises a spec, a listing is updated, a model is discontinued. We update pages when we find such a change, and the Last reviewed date on each page tells you when it was last checked.

Verify any specification that matters to your purchase against the seller's current listing before you buy. If you find an error here, tell us - we publish corrections.

Tool storage involves heavy objects. A loaded rolling cabinet can weigh well over 900 pounds, and moving one carelessly, overloading a drawer, or working under an unsecured load can cause serious injury. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the product you own, and treat the arithmetic on this site as a planning aid rather than an engineering certification.

This site earns Amazon Associates commission on qualifying purchases made through its links, at no extra cost to you. The disclosure page sets out the arrangement in full, including which brands earn us nothing.

The text, tables, calculators and original arrangement on this site are ours. You are welcome to quote a passage or a figure with a link back. Wholesale reproduction, scraping or republishing is not permitted.
