Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: the contact form, analytics, and Amazon's own affiliate cookies. Nothing sold, nothing shared.

This policy explains what data Stud & Stack collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to studandstack.com.

We do not ask you to create an account, we do not sell anything directly, and we do not sell or share personal data. The only personal information we ever hold is what you type into the contact form. Analytics and affiliate links involve third parties, and those are described below.

The contact form asks for a name, an email address and a message, and optionally a phone number. That information is emailed to us so we can reply. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not shared with anyone. If you would rather not use the form, the email address on the contact page reaches the same place.

Google Analytics 4. We use GA4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. It records things like page views, approximate location derived from IP address, device type, browser and referring site. We use it in aggregate; we do not use it to identify individuals and we do not attempt to.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data, including IP address, for security and reliability.

Product links here route through a redirect on this site and then to Amazon with our Associates tracking tag attached. Amazon sets its own cookies when you arrive, under its own privacy policy, and uses them to attribute a purchase to us. We do not receive any information about you from Amazon - only aggregate reports of whether a qualifying purchase occurred.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Doing so does not affect anything on this site except our ability to be credited for a purchase, and it does not change the price you pay. The full funding disclosure.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal basis for contact-form data is your consent in submitting it, and for analytics it is legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. You may ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to the address on the contact page.

If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA and CPRA, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Contact form emails are kept for as long as they are useful for correspondence and then deleted. Analytics data is retained under Google's standard retention settings.

• Our hosting provider - serving the site and standard request logging.
• Microsoft Graph - delivering contact form submissions to our inbox.

If this policy changes materially, the Last reviewed date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no separate notification, so the date is the signal.
