The Amazon Associates statement
Stud & Stack is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
How the links work
Product links on this site route through a redirect at /go, which adds our Amazon tracking tag and sends you to the listing. Every one of them carries rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and opens in a new tab. The redirect exists so that the destination for any product is a single configuration entry rather than a URL pasted into a hundred pages - which means a link can be corrected or changed everywhere at once.
Nothing about the link changes what you pay. Amazon's price is Amazon's price whether you arrive through us, through a search, or by typing the address.
The brands we earn nothing on
This matters more in tool storage than in most categories, because several of the highest-demand brands cannot be bought through any affiliate program on any network:

We cover the no-commission brands anyway, in full, because they are frequently the right answer. A site that only writes about what it can monetize is a catalog, not a reference.
What commission does not buy
- It does not buy a recommendation. Where a product we earn nothing on is the better answer, we say so - repeatedly, on the pages where it applies.
- It does not buy a ranking position. Roundups are ordered on published specifications, and the ordering logic is stated on every one of them.
- It does not buy silence about a flaw. Every product entry has a What Does Not Work list and a What It Is Not For line, including the top picks.
- It has never bought a page. There is no sponsored content on this site and no arrangement with any manufacturer or retailer.
About prices
Where a live price appears on this site it comes from an automated data feed and is stamped with the date it was checked. Prices older than 48 hours disappear on their own and the page falls back to Check price on Amazon, which is the honest output - a stale price is worse than no price, because it looks like information.
We never quote a price from memory, never publish a price we did not fetch, and never claim a discount we cannot verify against a current listing.
About specifications
Every specification on this site is cited to the manufacturer or retail listing it came from, and every derived figure is computed from a cited one. The methodology page explains the whole process, including its limits. We have not tested any product on this site and say so on every page that recommends one.
If you would rather not use our links
That is entirely reasonable and the site works exactly the same. Every product is named in full with its model number, so you can search for it directly. The information here is the product; the commission is how it is paid for.
